Be Still
Be still is the habit of withdrawing to be alone and getting quiet with God. It is the spiritual disciplines of solitude and silence.
Jesus set us the example during His time on earth. In Scripture, we see Jesus in crowded places where He taught and healed. On the other hand, He also took time to retreat to be alone in prayer.
Hope and Discouragement
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NLT) tells us “Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love.”
Hope according to one dictionary is an optimistic state of mind that is based on a desire or an expectation for positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one’s life, or the world at large. This is not what the Bible means by hope. In Scripture, hope is the confident expectation, and firm assurance, of what God has promised. The strength of this hope is in God’s faithfulness.
Biblical hope is not wishful thinking. It is never based on what is possible with man. Biblical hope looks away from man to the promises and character of God. And when it does, it expects great things from God. Read more…

A testimony is defined as a declaration, a firsthand authentication of a fact, evidence, an outward sign, an open acknowledgment or a public profession of what is true.
Testimonies play an important role in Christian faith. It provides a glimpse of the mighty power of God at work in someone’s life. Going through life, we face challenges and trials. We are often in need. When we shape our concerns into prayers and God hears us, and delivers us from these difficult situations, or grants us what we were praying for, telling someone about it, is testifying of God’s goodness, mercy and faithfulness. The Joy of the Lord
Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV) “… for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
The original Hebrew for joy in Nehemiah 8:10 is “chedvah,” meaning joy or gladness. The root word for joy in this context means to rejoice or to make glad. Strength in the same verse is a Hebrew word meaning a place or means of safety, protection refuge, or stronghold. The root word of strength means to be strong, prevail; to make firm, strengthen. El Roi means “the God who sees me.” El refers to God and Ro’iy in the original Hebrew that can be translated as seeing, looking or gazing.
When we feel most invisible and forgotten by everyone else, we can remember that God does see us. He witnesses our struggles, He knows our name, He knows our situation and our needs and He is there for us.
